Professor Kanakidou is a leading international scientist, known for her cutting-edge research centered on atmospheric chemistry, biogeochemical cycles, and climate. Her innovative studies have fostered international collaborative research on volatile organic compounds, oxygenated organics including organic nitrates, chlorofluorohydrocarbons, organic aerosols, and nutrients. During her stay in Germany, Professor Kanakidou will investigate the impact of air pollution on the ocean’s health and climate.
